DISCLAIMERS OF RIGHTS.

IN THIS POST, I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE COPYRIGHTS.

THIS POST IS COMPOSED OF SUMMARIES FROM ARICLES I THOUGHT WERE VERY INTERESTING OR INFORMATIVE.

All these articles are only extracts from whole items, often sample taken at several and different places through the article.

WHENEVER I APPOSE MY OWN COMMENTS, IT IS PRECEDED BY MY INITIAL- C.ET:

‘C.et’ is my own writing, just to try to be clear on me not putting words in others’ items.

THE REST IS A MAP OF IMPORTANT NOTIONS OR STORIES I FOUND IN THE NEWS EARLIER ON.

PLEASE FOLLOW THEIR WEBLINKS WHEN YOU WANT TO READ MORE. HOPING THAT COPYRIGHTS WILL NOT MIND IT, AS THEY ARE RIGHTS AND SHOULD NOT BE USED AS A MONOPOLY OR AS IMPAIRMENT TO DATA EXCHANGES AND DIFFUSION.

I also wanted to specify that I wrote something about this couple a few years ago. In reading again what I wrote, I realised that it could be the objects of so many ambiguities. It was an angry text, but that could never have conveyed the choc I was in when I discovered years ago on the front page of ‘Metro’ newspapers I think the fate of these young men for having a relationship.

What I meant in my first foolish draft, is that to me they are my brothers, and that in the best of time I should have been able to protect my family.

C.ET: I just was wondering if anyone would attack me for posting these texts and pictures. While the the original article, have done nothing financially to depict people in utter poverty and distress.

I appreciate that one cannot do everything and that taking a pic could be used as an act purposing help.

But what I recall equally it is that in this realm, I have to ask myself if no one could seriously try to sue me for doing this. That is to sue me for having taken a picture or to have written an article, hopefully to end human rights abuses (if not to start human responsibilities) and one of the priority remove this child from this environment that poison his body. But suing me because I redirect you to their article as if I intend to summarize their information for you I could be in breach of copyrights coming from the stories, snapshot without receiving a denier of the dominion. So please note that I am not the author, that I own no copyright. I just try and do like any computer of search engine, give you my specific summarizing.

I just comment on other buddies work and provide with all the links you need to read them comprehensively. My own creative work is available.at http://cettevies.blogspot.co.uk/

Pardon the mixes of subjects; I have no time to categorize them. In addition, I think the holistic approaches a necessity and find solution only in them.

Why museums hide masterpieces away

By Kimberly Bradle

The numbers don’t lie. At New York’s Museum of Modern Art, 24 of 1,221 works by Pablo Picasso in the institution’s permanent collection can currently be seen by visitors. Just one of California conceptual artist Ed Ruscha’s 145 pieces is on view. Surrealist Joan Miró? Nine out of 156 works.

Report Backed by 150 Thought Leaders Concludes That Animal Experiments Are Morally ‘Unthinkable’

“The deliberate and routine abuse of innocent, sentient animals involving harm, pain, suffering, stressful confinement, manipulation, trade, and death should be unthinkable. Yet animal experimentation is just that: the ‘normalisation of the unthinkable’. It is estimated that 115.3 million animals are used in experiments worldwide per annum. In terms of harm, pain, suffering, and death, this constitutes one of the major moral issues of our time.”

Exorcists warn Vatican over 'beautiful young vampires' and satanic yoga

Father Cesare is a protégé of Father Gabriele Amorth, the Vatican’s chief exorcist for 25 years, who claims to have dealt with 70,000 cases of demonic possession. Father Amorth said that sex abuse scandals in the Roman Catholic Church were proof that “the Devil is at work inside the Vatican”. He took a similarly dim view of fantasy novels and yoga. Practising the latter, he once warned, was “satanic; it leads to evil just like reading Harry Potter”.

and after that he said:

The proliferation of “beautiful young vampires” in TV series and Hollywood films including True Blood and the Twilight movies is encouraging young people to dabble with occult force

Rule 3. If that has already appeared in a sentence, writers sometimes use which to introduce the next clause, whether it is essential or nonessential. This is done to avoid awkward formations.

Example: That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
This sentence is far preferable to the ungainly but technically correct
That that doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

60 'Then and Now' Photos That Show Dramatic Changes on Earth

Analysis Extra: Company vs Country

Mon, 30 Mar 15

Duration:
29 mins

Michael Robinson asks what lies behind the boom in companies suing governments.

C.ET: this one explains how companies could make pay states enormous amount of money, for the state to be able or in fact allowed (enable) to compel them to stop unhealthy sales or mode of productions, killing populations, nature and countries.

I think it could rapidly become specially a green issue, or why not, attached to subjects such as alienation of rights... as it is clear that it is a case of state losing rights, as like with individuals asking for justice, mostly they will have to pay for (perhaps eventually) procedure to begin. Such a mockery.

Before finding it is a grey area of the law, or that the juge cannot be investigating because there is no law or only law that will create chaos.

The anti-gay Nazi doctor who escaped justice

Dr Carl Vaernet never tried at Nuremberg, despite experiments on gay prisoners

The Nazi doctor who experimented on gay people –
and Britain helped to escape justice

The Guardian - London, UK - 5 May 2015
READ & COMMENT:
http://gu.com/p/48598/stw

Today, 5 May, is the 70th anniversary of Denmark’s liberation from Nazi rule by British troops. The Danes are rightly proud of their anti-Nazi resistance and their heroism in saving the lives of nearly all their Jewish citizens. But Denmark also had a dirty little secret that remained hidden for many decades.

A Danish Nazi, SS Dr Carl Vaernet, conducted medical experiments on gay concentration camp prisoners. Unlike most other Nazi doctors, he was never put on trial at Nuremberg. Instead, with Danish and British collusion, he was able to escape to Argentina, where he lived openly and continued his research into methods for the eradication of homosexuality.

Vaernet was a Copenhagen doctor who, realising the opportunities offered by the homophobic policies of the Third Reich, joined the Nazi party and enlisted in the SS to pursue his research to "cure" gay men.

This research was conducted on the personal authority of Heinrich Himmler. The Gestapo chief demanded the "extermination of abnormal existence... the homosexual must be entirely eliminated."

The campaign to expose Vaernet only took off in 1998, when I wrote to the then Danish Prime Minister, Poul Rasmussen, calling for an inquiry into Vaernet's wartime activities. Media coverage of this letter triggered a public outcry in Denmark, where most people had been unaware of Vaernet's war crimes and the high-level measures taken to shield him from prosecution.

Rasmussen passed the buck to the Ministry of Justice, and they passed the buck to the National Archives of Denmark.

Refusing to launch an inquiry into Vaernet’s crimes and his escape from prosecution, the Ministry of Justice advised me to conduct the criminal investigation. They referred me to the Danish National Archives to secure the necessary evidence. But the archives told me the files on Vaernet were classified and closed until 2025.

Faced with mounting public, media and parliamentary pressure, the Danish government eventually relented. Access was given to the previously top secret files. They revealed Vaernet’s medical Nazism, his protection by the post-war Danish state and inaction by Allied war crime prosecutors.

Vaernet had been a member of the Danish Nazi Party from the late 1930's. As a doctor, he specialised in hormone research; including treatments to "cure" homosexuality.

After Denmark was occupied by the Nazis, few patients visited Vaernet's clinic because of his pro-Hitler sympathies. This prompted him to approach the Nazis, who were well known for their hatred of homosexuals and their bid to "eliminate the perverted world of the homosexual." Vaernet met the chief Nazi doctor, Reichsarzt-SS Ernst Grawitz, who proposed that he research the treatment of homosexuality on behalf of the SS.

This led to Vaernet operating on gay prisoners in Buchenwald concentration camp; inserting artificial hormone glands in their groins. Two of these men died from infections caused by the insanitary conditions.

When Denmark was liberated on 5 May 1945, Vaernet was arrested and detained at Alsgade Skole prisoner-of-war camp in Copenhagen. It was run jointly by the British military and the Danish police. The head of the camp was a British Major, Ronald F. Hemingway, who declared Vaernet "undoubtedly will be sentenced as a war criminal."

Despite this prediction, Vaernet appears to have convinced the British and Danish authorities that his hormone treatments to turn gay men heterosexual were important, worthy scientific research.

In November 1945, in response to Vaernet's claim that he was suffering from a serious heart condition, Hemingway authorised his transfer to a Copenhagen hospital. In fact, the medical records show that Vaernet's heart tests were normal and that he received no treatment during his hospital stay.

In August 1946 a medical colleague of Vaernet’s informed the Danish Public Prosecutor that his deteriorating health required urgent vitamin E treatment that was only available in Sweden. Astonishingly, Vaernet was given a permit to go to Sweden and was even paid a state stipend to support himself.

Letters written by Vaernet in this period don’t mention his declining health. Instead, they state "everything is ready in Argentina" and "the money is ready in Sweden."

The Danish police were informed in 1947 that Vaernet had settled in Buenos Aires. He was living there under his own name and had resumed his hormone research with funding from the Argentine Ministry of Health. Despite calls for this prosecution, the Danish government decided against extradition proceedings.

Vaernet remained in Argentina until he died in 1965; living there with the full knowledge of the Danish and Allied authorities. They made no attempt to prosecute him for war crimes; possibly because they regarded his research to "cure" homosexuality as legitimate, even commendable.

The Danish authorities have still not explained why Vaernet and his Danish protectors were shielded from prosecution and why it took my public challenge to force them to open the Vaernet files. I’m still waiting for an answer.

hi, a comment on R2P

the R2P categorise alongside genocide on the UN website, famously did not even leave UN troops to stop the Rwandan genocide or the situation in the Sudan.

C.ET:

the R2P categorises (is linked to) alongside genocide on the UN website, famously the UN did not even leave UN troops to stop the Rwandan genocide- in fact they call the military, blue helmet, to withdraw from a refugee camps while hundreds of people with machetes, who had already killed thousands, where waiting at the gate.          it is not horror film nor fiction, that actually happened under the command of General  or the situation in the Sudan.

Roméo Dallaire took command of the United Nations Observer Mission in Uganda and Rwanda (UNOMUR) and the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda (UNAMIR). {...}

They received little support; Dallaire requested 5000 UN troops and was given 2600, which was subsequently reduced to 500.

Nothing in their experience could have prepared the Canadians for what was happening in Rwanda. Dallaire forewarned his superiors at UN Headquarters in New York of an impending mass killing of ethnic Tutsis by Hutu nationalist extremists. He pleaded for permission to act to prevent widespread violence and slaughter. The UN refused to allow Dallaire and his UN troops to act more forcefully against the escalating violence. The genocide occurred swiftly and massively. In the 100 days between 6 April and 16 July 1994, an estimated 800 000 men, women and children were brutally killed, many hacked to death with machetes. The victims were Tutsis and moderate Hutus.

Asked why a brigade wasn't sent, Annan said: "The brigade was not available. The [Security] Council did not augment the troops. In fact, they went the other way.

"We would have liked to see a larger force in. I had had situations where I called 82 member states together, trying to get troops. I got zilch."

{...}

With my own hands I carried them," he said. "We carried them in our arms, we carried kids in our arms, and adults. We were picking the bodies and moving them aside. ...There would be piles of bodies."

A cold description of: for example ‘loss of biodiversity’

When you know about the reality on the groups, the dozens of endangered species, amongst them biggest mammals, and thousands of unknown species disappearing every year. From it one can know that in fact treaties are lying, as in a lawful document, the depiction of reality must be done exhaustively and reactions, decisions making done in relation to what is really happening, and not some vague concepts and theories masking the gravity of the loss in question. The loss, a killing, a depletion, no coincidences but hundreds of human backed and mostly approved by deeds and in deed, ecocides.

NARRATIVE: Not a loss as in a miscellaneous (misshaped declaration, misspelled, miss sell) happenings in hazardous circumstance leading to grievances but the outcomes of planned economy, backed for most part by programmes and policies.

Conservation and Preservation of Endangered Species

Why Do Species Need Preserving?

Preservation of plants and animals is critical. Not only are they beautiful but they can provide economic benefits for us and provide great services. The plants clear the air, regulate our weather and water, provide pest control for crops and aid us in healing diseases. Less than two million species are described and we do not know when a plant or animal dies. These species can help us cure cancer, the common cold and a new organism that helps farmers in their constant fight against crop diseases.

C.ET: The centre of discussions are about how nature is important for humans, but even a more simple and though dramatic right understanding is that nature is not important for humans but in fact is vital, without it no life possible, for both humans but most importantly for what hoist humanity, nature itself.

C.ET: A reductive approach that is not even reductive such as determining whether it is the egg that needs the hen or v/v. as it is not nature that cannot live without humans but on the contrary humans that would not exist without what he destroys quite happily.

And if humans could live with food only, let’s say on another planet, without nothing but something to eat, I think it would liquidify. And nature would find a way to get rid of a species going from planet to planets just planning the next torture they will be able to complete and satisfy. At least I hip hope it.

Global decline of large herbivores may lead to an 'empty landscape'

Date:

May 1, 2015

Source:

Oregon State University

Summary:

The decline of the world's large herbivores, especially in Africa and parts of Asia, is raising the specter of an 'empty landscape' in some of the most diverse ecosystems on the planet. Many populations of animals such as rhinoceroses, zebras, camels, elephants and tapirs are diminishing or threatened with extinction in grasslands, savannahs, deserts and forests.

THE EXTINCTION CRISIS

Although extinction is a natural phenomenon, it occurs at a natural “background” rate of about one to five species per year. Scientists estimate we’re now losing species at 1,000 to 10,000 times the background rate, with literally dozens going extinct every day [1]. It could be a scary future indeed, with as many as 30 to 50 percent of all species possibly heading toward extinction by mid-century [2].

Unlike past mass extinctions, caused by events like asteroid strikes, volcanic eruptions, and natural climate shifts, the current crisis is almost entirely caused by us — humans.

To give an example, i seek literature on the fight against paedophilia, un centred, to compare it with other organisations' work. I cannot find them. Or not as much as it should, i mean not as much as 10% we would need to start tackling, not being satisfy with a kind of status-quo, incest, prostitution that is not but sex trade, rape industry, on minors, prostitution itself, and trafficking. the debate it too discrete, you have to underline discrepancy, quote the scholars' debate, but cannot do without primary texts. Items also managed to stand out and illustrate how absent, recluse, and backwards the stances are. such as a judge legalising a pro paedophile organisations...but scholars do not talk about items or not a lot of them, maybe sociologists, or social work writers but even then, they are more witnessing or victims account.
